Ringo Starr has announced the release of a four-song EP titled EP3 on September 16th via Universal Music. The new EP will be available on all streaming platforms and on CD, as well as a 10-inch vinyl in translucent royal blue.
To celebrate the new release, the former Beatle released the single "World Go Around," which you can listen to at the end of this article, followed by the cover art and tracklist for EP3.
EP3 was recorded at Starr's Roccabella West studio, as were his 2021 EPs Zoom In and Change the World. The EP features collaborations with longtime friends such as Steve Lukather , guitarist of Toto , Linda Perry , former vocalist of 4 Non Blondes , saxophonist Dave Koz , flamenco guitarist Jose Antonio Rodriguez , and sound engineer Bruce Sugar .
In a press release, the artist stated that the idea is to maintain the format of shorter, more frequent releases. “I’m in my studio writing and recording whenever I can. It’s what I’ve always done and will continue to do. Releasing EPs more frequently allows me to remain creative and put a little more love into each song.”
Ringo Starr's All-Starr Band returns to the road in September with a new North American tour. In addition to the band's owner and Lukather Colin Hay ( Men At Work ), Edgar Winter , Warren Ham , Gregg Bissonette ( David Lee Roth ), and Hamish Stuart ( Average White Band ) will also be performing
